DJ Mello T style is live music, in your face, full of energy with emphasis on audience participation. For a short time, Mello T spent his time in college studying and playing football. Eventually, the call of the beat drew Mello back to his first and real love, music. He re-joined forces with international hip hop star, DJ Kool.
Together, Mello and Kool, created and performed on recording hits and videos such as; “The Music Ain't Loud E'nuff,” “How Low Can You Go,” “What the Hell U Come In Here For” and “Reggae Dance.” Mello was also featured on DJ Kool's current smash hit recording and video “Let Me Clear My Throat” on the American/SONY recording label .
“Testin' My Mic” (April 2000) (HipHop, GoGo and Techno/Club mixes) was DJ Mello T's most known release, true to the DJ Kool influence and tradition, the track was recorded live at Republic Gardens night club on the historic “U” Street corridor in Washington, D.C..
